I am a visual artist; I draw and I paint. My work explores identity, memory, and self in place and time, and expresses my joy at the refraction and dispersion of light and shadow on forms.

My paintings celebrate the wonder of light, by looking intensely at the shapes and colours of everyday subjects in space, or by abstracting objects from a viewpoint that deconstructs form into shapes and patterns, caressed by light  into colour. My drawings use line and tone to create a sense of space, sometimes distorted into ambiguity; I also surreally combine elements to create a narrative of belonging, journey or liminality.
