4. A Sudden Presencing

"What is extraordinary about these ordinary things is the manner in which they provide the focus for the opening of world, which includes, of course, their own opening as things, their own appearing and coming to presence. It is in the encounter with such presencing that we are given over to wonder - a wonder that is not provoked by anything other than the simple happening of being." (Jeff Malpas. 2017. 'Heidegger and the Thinking of Place: Explorations in the Topology of Being.' p. 14-15. Massachusetts: MIT Press.)

This series offers new viewpoints on ordinary glass objects creating an extraordinary moment with natural light. They emerge from my art practice which seeks everyday wonder in the familiar.
